When our office received a call last week from the good people at Giants of Generosity about a family in need, we were eager to help. A family in Ridgewood had their water heater break, subsequently flooding their basement and causing severe damage to their home. The family is currently dealing with a number of health-related problems, so this flooding emergency caused even more stress. Concerned about the damage to their living space, the potential for mold growth, and their inability to pay to remediate the area, they needed help.
On behalf of Giants of Generosity, a team of AOA professionals led by sales manager Kevin Grau went to the home and got right to work. The team removed the soaked carpeting, extracted all water, sanitized the room with antimicrobial agents, and dried the area for several days with AOA’s state-of-the-art drying equipment and dehumidifiers. The basement is now clean and restored to its pre-water damage condition, and the Ridgewood homeowners can rest assured that AOA has prevented any dangerous mold growth from occurring.
Giants of Generosity is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency relief funding and other vital services to people who experience critical, life-altering situations in the local community. Most clients are low income families who have depleted any personal savings or investments and have been hit with unexpected trauma—from automobile and other accidents to home damage caused by natural disasters.
