Here at AOA we have been using Halosil’s Halo Disinfection System to ensure deep cleaning for our customers. Today, this system is being deployed to China to fight the COVID-19 Coronavirus. We have this system and are here to deep clean your hospital or office to reduce the spread of this virus.
Halosil is EPA Registered #84526-6. Recently it was added to the EPA-N list as certified for use against COVID-19.
Halosil’s Halo Disinfection System® pairs HaloMist™, a proprietary bread spectrum disinfectant, with the HaloFogger®. This ensures the uniform, dry fogging delivery of disinfectant throughout any complex space, achieving complete coverage with the highest possible efficacy on the market today.
The HaloFogger generates a turbulent aerosol that uses evaporation to quickly disperse H202 vapor and increasingly concentrated micro-droplets everywhere in complex rooms to kill germs where they hide. This ensures the proprietary HaloMist formula reaches even those spaces beyond the reach of sprays, wipes, or UV lights. Specialized HaloFogger options and assemblies empower disinfection leaders to achieve the same, infection-destroying efficacy in a variety of settings.

HaloMist is a proprietary, ready-to-use fogging formula, registered in all 50 states. The unique stabilization process blends the long-leveraged power of a hydrogen peroxide disinfectant with antimicrobial silver ions to provide multiple killing mechanisms for attacking pathogens. HaloMist defends against a broad range of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. As a registered fungicide, bactericide, and virucide, HaloMist™ is equipped to handle any disinfection or remediation challenge.
1. Eliminates Infectious Pathogens – HaloMist operates at the molecular level as a forensic restoration and disinfectant solution, killing off infectious materials.
2. Non-Corrosive & Bleach Free – The HaloMist formula safely decomposes into environmentally-friendly disinfection byproducts—water, oxygen, and non-toxic silver complexes—making it both safe for people and earth-friendly.
3. Achieves Superior Effectiveness – HaloMist is proven to achieve a six-log kill rate in disinfection applications.
Shipments of the company’s Halo Disinfection Systems®, which is registered both in the U.S. (EPA Reg. No. 84526-6) and by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC), are being sent to China weekly in order to meet the country’s immediate demand to kill novel coronavirus pathogens in healthcare facilities.
While the name of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus may imply that coronaviruses are “novel,” this family of viruses has actually been documented since the mid 1960s. Most coronaviruses are present in animals, such as bats and camels, and do not spread to humans. However, in two recent instances—severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle-East respiratory syndrome (MERS)—the CDC has documented coronaviruses spreading from animals to people. Along with these two earlier coronaviruses, the 2019 Novel Coronavirus marks the third human coronavirus to cause severe illness.
Coronaviruses are enveloped viruses. Enveloped viruses spread through a “budding off” process during which a new virus becomes wrapped in an outer coating. However, if this layer in dissolved, these viruses are relatively easy to kill—making them more susceptible to disinfectants than non-enveloped viruses. The Novel Coronavirus therefore falls into a category of viruses that are most susceptible to disinfectants.
The above figure illustrates the susceptibility of pathogen classes to disinfectants. All pathogens reflected in the above are included on the HaloMist™ label (EPA Reg. No. 84526-6).
According to the CDC, in the absence of an available vaccine against COVID-19, the best way to prevent against infection is to avoid exposure to the virus. You should also take standard preventative actions for respiratory illness which includes washing hands; avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth; and avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
HaloMist is included on the EPA-N list for use against COVID-19. The United States EPA and CDC permit disinfectants to qualify for making claims against emerging pathogens. This product qualifies for emerging viral pathogen claims per the EPA’s ‘Guidance to Registrants: Process for Making Claims Against Emerging Viral Pathogens not on EPA-Registered Disinfectant Labels’ when used in accordance with the appropriate use directions indicated.
