There are many reasons why homeowners might be faced with the need for a professional, deep whole-house cleaning. These procedures are vastly different from a cleaning service coming to do your windows or dust and vacuum. We’re talking about serious disinfecting and sanitizing of your home in such cases as:

  • Your house was closed up for the summer while you were away, and allergens have built up inside.
  • You’ve purchased a foreclosed property that’s been neglected for a long time—and has become a breeding ground for toxic organisms.
  • You are completing an extensive construction project that has kicked up allergens and bacteria that have settled throughout the house.
  • You are helping a relative dig out from an unhealthy, unsanitary hoarding situation.

These and other scenarios can bring dust mites, airborne allergens, harmful bacteria and other microbes into the home, where they settle in carpets, upholstery, bedding … even hardwood or tile flooring can harbor common household bacteria and viruses.

In these cases, you need far more than a maid service or carpet cleaning service—you need a professionally trained remediation technician that can provide the highest level of clean and sanitary (depending on your situation):

Disinfectants and sanitizers remove toxins, allergens in the home

Your health is at risk as is the health of your home. Rhinovirus, mold, MRSA, E. coli, dust mites and dust mite eggs, fleas and flea eggs, seasonal impurities … these are just some of the issues that homeowners might be suffering with or discover upon re-entering the property after a prolonged absence. These organisms cling to fibers, get embedded in floors, and can make us sick.

Don’t take chances … contract with a professionally trained and certified cleaning and restoration contractor who uses the best products in the business. At AOA Cleaning and Restoration, we use Halo machines with Sanosil disinfectant products that are sprayed throughout the entire dwelling to restore your home to the most sanitary state possible. These germicides are EPA approved and registered to kill 99.99 percent of C-Difficile (C Diff) spores, plus bacteria, mold and fungi including MRSA, viruses such as H1N1, rhinovirus and salmonella. Sanosil products are so effective, they were used to fight the Ebola virus outbreak in Africa. You can read more about why and how Sanosil is so effective, and why we use it at AOA Cleaning and Restoration here.

Why Halo?

This disinfecting method delivers comprehensive whole room surface disinfection. The machine dispenses a dry mist of disinfectant particles, as an aerosol, into the air. The charged particles go up, around and under all exposed surfaces, reaching areas that regular manual cleaning and disinfecting can’t. The homogenous distribution of disinfectant reduces the risk of cross-contamination of infectious diseases (a hazard associated with using a rag, wipe or sponge). Our technicians can mist and disinfect a whole house in several hours and have homeowners or tenants back safely in a relatively short time, which minimizes disruption to daily life.

Don’t let a biohazard, seasonal allergens, or harmful microorganisms put your property and your family at risk. Call AOA Cleaning and Restoration right away for high level disinfectant service at (201) 848-8600; we also offer 24-hour emergency services for this and all our other remediation services.

      Hi De,

Thank your for visiting our blog. We can absolutely help you in this situation. Here is a little more information about the Halo cleaning process and HFMD.

When we get called to disinfect a home, facility or school from the threat of HFMD (along with many other illnesses) our highly trained staff brings our state-of-the-art HALO machine with Halosil products to combat the issue.

Why is this so important to know?
HALO machines with Halosil products were deployed to Africa to combat the eBola virus. AND, it is the first ever EPA-validated disinfectant fogging solution proven to kill 99.9999% of C. diff spores.

Using a HALO machine with Halosil kills Norovirus. Norovirus is used as the CDC’s highest standard of kill claim in the non-enveloped family. Since HFMD is in the non-enveloped family, and not as strong as Norovirus, this means it WILL BE KILLED during the disinfecting process.

It’s also important to note that HFMD is commonly misdiagnosed as Impetigo, which is a version of Streptococcus (bacterial) and needs to be treated with antibiotics (HFMD does not). Although regular disinfectants, sanitizers and virucides are killing Impetigo already, HALO with Halosil is the most effective disinfectant tool available—which is why we use them for these jobs.

If you have any questions, or would like to schedule a complete disinfection of your home give us a call today at 201-848-8600 and we will get you scheduled!

      • R. Brown says:

I have purchased a previously owned home. The previous owner was a heavy perfume and fragrance user including scented candles and wall plug ins that have left the entire home saturated with fragrance. I am extremely fragrance sensitive “allergic” and getting ill. The whole furnace and duct systems had to be replaced because of the fragrance problem could not be cleaned out of the system. I need someone to come into my home and wash all walls, ceilings, top of cupboards, ceiling fixture/fans to get rid of the fragrance. The furnace will be completed on Tuesday and ready to be used but I cannot use it until whole house is fragrance free so as not to reinfect the heating/cooling system in the house. Do you do that kind of service. Additionally, it is important that cleaning products are fragrance free and low/no VOC.

  3. Nancy says:

my mother-in-law and I have both had rotavirus this week. I cleaned the house the best I could, and sprayed with Lysol. Is there any need to clean any deeper to keep from getting sick again?

  4. DEbbie says:

We are looking for a company to clean and disinfect and remove the smell of urine that is in hardwood floors and some furniture.
